El-Ghazali Talbi

El-Ghazali Talbi is a Full Professor at the University of Lille. He is a member of the CRISTAL Laboratory (Lille Research Center for Computer Science, Signal Processing and Automation) and leads the DOLPHIN team (Robust Multi-Objective Optimization of Complex Systems).
He has published extensively on the theory and application of metaheuristics to logistics, transportation, bioinformatics, and engineering design. He is widely recognised for his influential book Metaheuristics: From Design to Implementation (Wiley, 2009) and for founding the META international conference series on metaheuristics and nature-inspired computing.

Greet Vanden Berghe
KU Leuven, Belgium (Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering Technology)
She is a Full Professor at KU Leuven where she is part of the Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics (NUMA) unit and serves as contact person for NUMA at the Ghent & Aalst campuses.
Her research expertise lies in combinatorial optimisation with particular strengths in timetabling, rostering, scheduling, vehicle routing and other industrial combinatorial problems. She leads and coordinates research in the Combinatorial Optimisation and Decision Support (CODeS) group at KU Leuven (Ghent campus).

Luís Gouveia
University of Lisbon, Portugal (Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Faculty of Sciences)
He is a Full Professor at the University of Lisbon. He co-coordinates the European Network Optimization Group (ENOG), a working group of the EURO, and previously served as President of the Telecommunications Section of INFORMS (2012–2014).
His research focuses on reformulations of mixed integer linear programming models for network design and routing problems, with over 100 publications in leading journals and book chapters. He is currently Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Networks and serves on the editorial boards of Computers & Operations Research, European Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, and RAIRO – Operations Research.
