Open PhD-Position @ Austrian Institute of Technology

The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), Mobility Department, located in Vienna, Austria, has an open PhD-Position within the project I2Bau - Integrierte intermodale Standort-, Netzwerk- und Routenplanung für die Schüttlogistik (integrated intermodal location, network and route planning for bulk freight logistics).

SASA Conference 2010

The Business Stream at the annual South African Statistical Association Conference will be organised this year jointly by SASA, ISBIS and ORSSA (Vaal Triangle region). I attach an extract of SASA's latest newsletter where the conference is advertised. Please have a look at the newsletter and consider submitting your work to the conference - there are a number of streams that are very closely related to Operational Research. The website mentioned in the newsletter will be available from June 15th.

Pretoria Chapter Event

The Operations Research Society of South Africa - Pretoria Chapter is hosting a cocktail and presentation evening on 3 August 2010. The evening is open to any interested individual, but it is essential to confirm your attendance by no later than Thursday, 29 July 2010.
